THE CAPITOL THEATRE
Opened in 1924 as part of the Capitol House building, this art deco theatre is the oldest of Melbourne’s large picture palaces. The venue is an extraordinary refurbished cinema and destination for events, festivals and live performances promoting
culture, education and innovation. The Capitol is available to hire for screenings, performances, talks, conferences, festivals, meetings and private events.
It can fit 568 seated in the theatre, 350 in the cocktail salon and 150 in the cocktail foyer. With dolby surround sound, soung and lighting decks, AV facilities and lectern / plug and play capabilities its perfect for live podcoasts, seminars and private screenings.
